RULES FOR JANELIA COMMUNITY GARDEN
• If a gardener must abandon their plot for any reason, they will notify a member of the garden club committee.
• Gardeners will not plant any illegal substances in their plot.
• Gardeners will not sell any of the produce that is harvested from their plots or any derivatives made from their produce.
• If a plot becomes unkempt, the gardener understands that they will be given 2 weeks notice to clean it up. At that time, it will be reassigned or tilled in.
• Gardeners will keep trash and litter cleaned from the plot, as well as from adjacent pathways and fences.
• Gardeners will clean up their plot in the fall.
• Gardeners will NOT plant tall crops that will shade neighboring plots.
• Gardeners will pick only their own crops unless given permission by the plot user.
• Gardeners will not bring pets to the garden.
• Gardeners will only plant within their assigned plots.
• Gardeners will not plant mint anywhere in the garden - it is too invasive and has become a major weed in the garden.
• If growing plants on the fence, gardeners are responsible for removing old plant material and responsible for any damage to the fence.
• Gardeners understand that neither the garden group nor owner of the land are responsible for their actions and THEREFORE AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS THE LANDOWNER. FOR ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGE, LOSS OR CLAIM THAT OCCURS IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF THE GARDEN OR BY USE OF TOOLS OR EQUIPMENT BY THEM OR ANY OF THEIR GUESTS.
I agree to the rules listed above and understand that any violation of these rules will forfeit my right to continue to participate as a member of the Janelia Farm Community Garden Club.
