'Infinite' FOCUS operation
An Inf Focus checkbox has been added to the
Main Controls
window (near lower right). Selecting this checkbox will cause FOCUS acquisitions to continue indefinitely until the user presses ABORT. When deselected, the ScanImage 3.0 behavior of scanning 80 frames before stopping is employed.
Bidirectional scanning
ScanImage 3.5 supports bidirectional scanning of the fast mirror to a rudimentary extent. The feature is disabled by default. To activate the bidirectional scanning feature, the user should modify the bidiScanEnabled variable in their INI file. This variable is located below the Rig Configuration section at the the head of the model INI file (search for bidiScanEnabled in the file). This value is set to 0 (false) by default, and must be changed to 1 (true) to activate this feature.
Activating the feature will cause a BiDi checkbox to appear in the
Advanced Configuration...
dialog box.
This feature is considered unofficial at this time and should be used with caution. High scan rates over large fields can cause galvanometers to overheat.
Further support and guidance for the use of bidirectional scanning will be provided in ScanImage 3.6.
